Social Progressive and Fiscal Conservative Positions*
-End the $4 Trillion** Bush-Boozman Iraq War that is driving our economy off a cliff!
-Fight to lower gas prices by ending Iraq war, preventing Iran war, increasing fuel efficiency standards and through strong support for a rapid end to oil dependency!
-Seriously combat climate change, especially through the following bullet on energy!
-Work hard for clean energy independence, and ultimately, I support establishment of a cabinet level Department of Sustainability!
-Advocate for not-for-profit universal healthcare like all other advanced nations! (HR 676***)
-Support increases in funding for scholarships and financial aid, and ultimately, I support working toward free public college tuition for all!
-Oppose Bush-Boozman tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy minority!
-Support tax cuts for middle class!
-Reform NAFTA/WTO for fair trade to decrease outsourcing of American jobs and increase environmental sustainability and human rights!
-Strive to end corruption through serious election reform, especially for public campaign financing and mandatory free airtime on all television stations to drastically lower campaign costs!
-Repeal Clinton-Bush era media consolidation that has allowed dangerous consolidation of TV, radio, internet and newspapers by monopolists like Rupert Murdoch!
-Restore civil liberties from Bush assault, especially relating to warrantless surveillance and habeas corpus infringements!
-Strongly oppose all forms of torture that Bush-Boozman support!
-Reform the costly Drug War, especially for marijuana laws that contribute to wasteful, costly imprisonment of over 1 million nonviolent offenders at a great harm to American society and families!
-Strategic abolition of nuclear weapons worldwide, among other hazardous weapons to our troops and civilians like depleted uranium and cluster bombs!
-Eliminate billions in waste from the healthcare, war and prison industries!
Running on these issues as a fiscal conservative (anti-waste) and social progressive, I think I can win because there is no Democratic candidate, gas prices are skyrocketing and the economy is spiraling toward a recession, which could create many dissatisfied poor and middle class voters, and a voter backlash against incumbent Republicans like John Boozman.
*For this definition, fiscally conservative means no unnecessary budgetary waste in contrast to faux economic conservatives that have dominated both parties for the last few decades.
